MASS KIDNAPPING BY DISGRUNTLED EXTERMINATOR

HAMLITON-Overwhelmed with rats, the town of Hamilton contracted an exterminator. Like magic, the exterminator succeeded in removing the rats. When the town wouldn’t pay him in full citing an unfair contract, he removed something else:  their children.
“He just took her,” said Denise Scholl, 38, mother of one of the kidnapped children, “I don’t know why anyone would kidnap children because of a payment dispute. It’s not even their fault.”
The kidnapping occurred late at night on the day of the rat removal. Many parents woke too late to stop the exterminator. Several parents interviewed confirmed that the exterminator was leading the children away.
“It was like they were mesmerized,” said Andrew Phillips, 49 “I called for Billy, but he didn’t respond.”
One expert confirmed that hypnotism was a possibility, though unlikely:
“I don’t think I’ve heard of it [hypnotism] being used this way. The circumstances would make it difficult, but not impossible.”
Police continue to investigate, and stress that the exterminator is only a suspect.
“Innocent until proven guilty, this town seems to have forgotten that…The main priority is finding the children. We are putting every effort into it.”
One resident, who wishes to be anonymous, believes it is magic, and says he could see through the ruse the whole time.
“The way they were walking, it wasn’t natural. My grandmother she knew about people being lead away by magicians wearing odd clothes. I knew not to trust this guy, he was wearing polka dots.”
